The Project

Adamson Residential was appointed to carry out extensive works at a property in Maidenhead, whereby a full refurbishment and adaptation works for a disabled client were completed.

The whole house required a full electrical and plumbing re-wire along with a ground floor garage conversion into a living area along with a disabled toilet and shower area.

The existing structure had a previous extension which did not meet the current standard, so work was required to rectify this. We had to remove the lower section of the roof and insulate accordingly, along with lifting all the timber flooring to install insulation and refit the structural deck.

The ground floor garage was stripped back to its shell before installing a fully insulated room. The rear of the garage was designed and converted into a half utility and half wet room area to enable the client to have full access by installing a full support system for a hoist to support movement from room to room. The ground floor was also adapted to support the use of a wheelchair, as well as widening doorways and installing underfloor heating to free up vital space.

In addition to internal works, works completed externally include removing the front garden and replacing with car parking space and a disabled access ramp to meet the front door. The rear garden was also converted into a contemporary hard standing to allow our client full use of all areas both internally and externally.
